Just the other day when i saw yet another newspaper heading on a pole about a hero overcoming robbers, i thought about it. The police are trying hard to get people not to place their lives in danger when they are involved in an armed robbery or hijack. The same papers that place these precautions then go ahead and make heroes of the people that actually did place their lives at risk.
I am not of the opinion that we should lie down to crime, but the newspapers need to take more responsibility for creating wrong messages.
